AMD Silo AI and Combient unlock enterprise AI value on leadership compute platforms
Stockholm January 29, 2025 AMD Silo AI and Combient, a leading cross-industry collaboration network, are extending their partnership. The partners will collaborate to deliver a phased, scalable, and shared high-performance computing (HPC) environment for Combient’s associated companies supported by AMD GPU technology for enterprise AI applications.
As part of the agreement, AMD Silo AI will provide and manage the complete technical infrastructure, including software stack implementation, enabling Combient’s associated companies to conduct AI model training and inferencing on AMD compute platforms.
The partnership advances the shared commitment to accelerate AI innovation across Combient’s network. To accelerate digital transformation, Combient brings together 38 of the largest companies in the Nordics, such as Atlas Copco Group, Ericsson, Electrolux, H&M Group, Husqvarna Group, KONE, SAAB and Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) with a purpose of enabling business success through collaboration.
The partnership builds on a successful track record of collaboration in AI development and deployment across multiple companies in the Combient network, spanning industries from manufacturing to telecommunications. This expansion is a significant step in making enterprise AI more accessible and efficient for Nordic companies and contributes to creating a global AI R&D center in the Nordics
“We are excited to expand our successful collaboration with Combient. We look forward to ensuring the Combient companies succeed on AMD platforms. Through our deep understanding of their use cases, we can build robust and scalable capabilities for Combient companies to succeed on their AI journey. This allows building customized solutions to specific requirements and needs, giving customers a competitive edge. We expect to not only see industry-specific AI models becoming the norm, but also other data modalities being exploited in areas like biology, pharma, material sciences, robotics, autonomous vehicles and many more”, said Peter Sarlin, Co-Founder and CVP, AMD Silo AI.
“We are thrilled to extend our partnership with Silo AI and now include AMD, a leading player, to explore AI and High Performance Computing in the industry. Companies within the Combient network desire more than just computing power; they anticipate ongoing support throughout their AI journey and leverage the network's strength to explore these opportunities together in a secure environment. The Silo AI team’s capability to customize solutions for specific industry needs and support our associates' success will hasten AI adoption across the Nordic industry. This collaboration has the potential to revolutionize how industrial companies implement and scale AI solutions”, said Mats Agervi, CEO and founder of Combient.
This is a strategic partnership that will complement Combient's existing partnerships – alongside NVIDIA – within the area of data, AI and High Performance Computing, further strengthening the speed of innovation and scaling for Combient and their network companies.

About Combient
Combient leads a network with some of the largest leading Nordic companies from different industries to accelerate digital transformation. The Combient network comprises 38 companies with a total turnover of €295billion and more than 1,400,000 employees. A group of leading Swedish companies was introduced to the idea: A world-first collaboration network where non-competing industry leaders would share assets and work together on their transformation. Within four months, 11 companies – Atlas Copco, Electrolux, Ericsson, FAM, Investor, LKAB, Saab, SEB, Sigma, SKF, and Stora Enso – said yes, and Combient was founded in January 2015. Today, Combient is the leading cross-industry collaboration network in the Nordics. Including 38 large enterprises, and surrounded by an ecosystem of top universities and startups, the network has created a space for shared assets and rapid growth.
