Value Creation through Digital Transformation
Digitalization is changing the competitive landscape. Large tech giants have been able to expand their business into new segments and reach significant company valuations and results. Despite this, the predicted decline of existing players has not occurred to the level that many feared. Instead, many companies have engaged in digital transformation. One key fact stands out: the companies showing better business results, and accelerating away from their peers in the same industry, are the ones that lead in Digital. The past year has made this even more urgent. With cases from Munters, Konecranes and LKAB we will bring some examples of successful value creation from digital transformation, both with new revenues and new business models, but also with increased efficiency in existing activities.
Digital Fundamentals & Transformational Technologies
Digitalization took off as a result of the mobile internet, the flexibility offered by the cloud and advances in data processing — technologies that combined are in the process of forcing a re-imagination of many businesses and ways of working. However, many companies still have not been able to scale digitalization into operation, nor meeting its original expectations and business cases. In parallel, new challenges like accelerating cloud costs and escalating cybersecurity threats have appeared, and new technologies that require attention have emerged. Together with Electrolux, Husqvarna Group and KONE, we will put the focus on digital fundamentals, how to get investments right in building the technological base for business cases, and how to make it so it scales globally and across use cases.We will discuss among other topics data collection, flexible software development platforms and internal tools as a base to create valuable applications for customers and operations.
Reshaping Organizations to scale Value Creation
Over the past years, many companies’ central digitalization teams have started to deploy updated infrastructure, experiment with emerging technologies, and establish digital best practices. However to move from exploration and installation to an implementation phase, and to get return on the investments made, it will be necessary to enact change, reshape working culture and re-skill people at a larger scale inside organizations. With change-makers from Scania, SKF and Stora Enso, in this session, we will move the focus from technology to organizational barriers standing in the way of companies' digital transformation and explore how various companies are tackling the challenge of cultural change - at scale.

We will kick off the topic with a keynote by Sustainability Entrepreneur, Climate Activist and Business Advisor Rebecka Carlsson on Exponential climate change, followed by cases from Wärtsilä and Vasakronan and a live panel with Rebecka Carlsson, Combient Pure and SEB Greentech.
